Of Laziness and Girlfriends

Hello guys!

I've been MIA (from personal posts) for quite a long time again, so I apologise for that. Not that anyone cared, right? Meh. I'm currently in my second week of semester break, I got exactly a week left before I'm going back to UniSZA. If you're following my Instagram account, you probably read the post where I claimed that I'll be spending my holiday reading books, writing stories, updating this blog and cuddling with Hanee & Rusty (my new ludeer doll and alpacasso's names respectively). But all I did was lazying around, sleeping A LOT, snuggling on the bed with Hanee (Rusty is too small to be hugged). So, I guess I only performed one thing from my to-do-list.

I had a serious reading slump and writer's block throughout this two weeks. It felt horrible; I can neither read any of the books in my TBR pile, nor write the next chapter for Three Days. I had been planning to read A Court Of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas for quite some time already, but to no avail. I have no choice but to put it down first.

My next attempt read would be Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. One of my next assignments (for the upcoming semester) probably have something related to this book, so I have no choice but to finish this one first. Reading slump or not, I gotta go through it. I rarely read classics, though I know most of the stories (kudos to my amazing mom). I think I may start collecting classic books from now on. And maybe try some Jane Austen's writings? Hopefully, I'll be able to do so, someday.

Does anyone know how to get rid of writer's block? I always have ideas to write, but when I sit in front of my laptop or hold a pencil, I often find it hard to express them into words. It's like, the ideas were hanging on the clouds and I'm too short to even grasp them. Someone help me before I start going crazy here *screams*

A few days ago, I was finally able to escape from my lazy-ing in the house attitude by going out with two of my friends. Nope, we didn't end up doing anything healthy though. But it was fun. It was absolutely fun, going out with only your girls around, window-shopping for things that you know you won't afford, watch movies and just enjoy sweet (bitter, in my case) drinks.

We started the day with a plate of Nasi Lemak and Chicken Roll, then strolled in a few shops inside Sunway Pyramid. Don't get me started on how much we whined because we weren't able to buy any of the cute sweaters and blouses and t-shirts and skirts. It was agonising when you're a student and jobless and moneyless. *insert a crying emoji here*

Then, we went for a movie. I made us watch The Man From U.N.C.L.E, because the trailer seemed good enough. And I was right. IT WAS HELLA GOOD. AMAZING. I can't even properly describe how good it is (the review for this movie is still in my draft). The chasing scenes were absolutely great, and Napoleon Solo & Illya Kuryakin ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ While Solo is all about hotness and sarcasm and cockiness, Kuryakin is just so smooth, especially when it comes to handling "his woman". Man, I just need to watch that movie again.

Of course, we'd never leave without a cup of coffee. Or at least, only me. I might look like I enjoyed my time there at the cafe, but nope, it was the other way round. I ordered a vanilla latte, and they took a real long time to make it (my friends almost finished their drinks already). When my order finally arrived, it turned out that they made a caffe latte for me, so I told the barista that I ordered vanilla latte. The barista took it back to the counter, and apparently, he only poured a tiny amount of vanilla into the same cup! I couldn't even taste the vanilla in it. Ugh, I'm definitely not going there anymore.

I did buy a few things while I was there.

New books! Of course, books are a must buy for me, no matter how broke I am. I've already explained the reason I bought Black Beauty. I had to buy a lot because I'm helping a few of my classmates who couldn't find the book in the bookstores around them.

I wanted to buy another book at first, but Shadows Cast by Stars captivated me with it's cover. I'm a sucker for books with beautiful covers, and I am always in love with anything hanging on the sky; in this case, the stars. It was very beautiful, and I'm hoping the story line will be as good. Any of you have read this book?

FYI, Sticky is my favourite brand of candy. They make the cutest candies! This is the first time seeing this design (they're named Rocky.. something?), so I just had to buy them. The only taste that I'm aware of is watermelon. It's hard to decipher the other tastes, but I still love them all nonetheless. Haven't eaten the lollipop yet though.

I actually wanted to buy products from Etude House, but the prices were out of my budget. Nature Republic's pricing were pretty much affordable, so I wanted to have a try. I've used lipbalms and handcreams from Nature Republic, and they were great. I'm sure these two will be great too. Plus, aloe vera products really suit my skin ♡

That's basically all what I did this week. The other hours were spent with my lazying around on couches or beds, so don't bother asking. Spend your week more efficiently, alright? Don't become like me. Oh and I'll try my best to update weekly. Extra posts if I finish reading a book or watch any movies. No promises, because I'm bad in keeping promises. Have a nice day, guys!

Till next time ♡ Love, Aishah Humaira'
